Our leadership goal:  We want to make disciples.

How do we accomplish this task?

1. We teach them (information).
2. We train them (action).

Two Important Leadership Principles:

1. Reproduction
2. Empowerment

Case study #1:  Henry Ford

Ford was not willing to share the load.

Ford was inflexible– it could only be done his way.

Cast study #2:  Moses and Joshua

Moses gave Joshua experience.

Moses gave Joshua real responsibility.

Ultimately, Moses gave Joshua authority and blessing.

Several Thoughts:

1. No leader can do it all.
2. People grow when they are involved in ministry.
3. When people are an active part of the team, they are more committed.
4. When people feel needed, it increases their sense of worth and value.
5. When we multiply leaders, we multiply ministry.

Two Important Opportunities to Empower People:

1. Life group – apprentices, delegation
2. Ministry fair – February 14
