Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser – March 25
 The youth ministry will be hosting a spaghetti lunch fundraiser to help pay for their mission trip to Canada.
When: March 25th, 12pm
Where: LCF Cafeteria
Cost: $5.00 per person; $20.00 per family
Tickets will be sold on Sunday mornings in the foyer. Please come by and help support the youth! This trip will be a life changing experience for the kids. We would love for you to have a part in helping them get to Canada!
Not-So-Silent-Night – Dec. 18
 Join us for an evening of food, fun and entertainment as Ched and Fred host our 1st annual “Not-So-Silent-Night” on Sunday evening, December 18th at 5:30pm in the gym. Bring your family and friends along with something sweet and something salty to share. And for the brave at heart, get your act together (song, dance, skit, joke, etc.) and be part of the night’s entertainment. Please send a brief description of your “talent” to be performed by submitting the form below. See ya there!!
To the Life Group leaders:
We want to encourage each life group to attend our “Not-So-Silent-Night”. We would love to have representation from each life group for the entertainment part of the evening. So please discuss this at your next meeting and choose someone(s) to represent your life group. This can be a solo or group performance in the form of a song, skit, story-telling, dance, etc…. Also, you are not limited to just one “act” from your life group. Just be sure to submit your “talent” using the form below by Dec. 10th. This will be a great time of fun, food and fellowship with our LCF family. We hope to see you all there!!

Youth Retreat – Dec. 29 – Jan. 2
 The Student Ministry is planning to get away for a few days together at the end of the year to refocus on the Lord as a community and set the spiritual tone for 2012. They have reserved 2 Chalets in Gatlinburg, TN, which can house about 30 people total. If you are interested in going on the retreat, please contact us.
When: Dec. 29 – Jan. 2
Where: Chalets in Gatlinburg, TN
Cost: Approx. $130 per person (includes housing and all meals in Gatlinburg, except one lunch)
There are several fundraisers planned to help reduce the cost for each student, so be sure to take part in those if you plan to go!
Chili Lunch Fundraiser – Nov. 13
 Each year the youth take a retreat, and this year it will be over the New Year’s holiday in Gatlinburg! To help raise money, they are hosting a chili lunch on Sunday, November 13. Please come out and support the Lighthouse youth ministry!

Time: Immediately following the 10am service
Location: LCS Cafeteria
Tickets: $5 per person ($15 per family max.)
Youth Retreat 2010
 The youth will be going to Gulf Shores for their retreat this year!
Dates: December 28, 2010 – January 2, 2011
Cost: $130 (includes all meals, except on the way there and back)
Deposit: 50% ($65) due November 28
Accommodations: A beach house in Gulf Shores, AL

White Water Rafting, August 9
For their last special event of the summer, the youth is going on a white water rafting trip on August 9! Join us for this day of fun on the Ocoee River! Be sure to sign up by July 30.

Time: 7:00am to 10:00pm
Location: Ocoee River
Cost: $40/person
Bring: Breakfast and lunch foods, money for food on the trip back

Trip to Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari, July 7
 The youth will be taking a trip to Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana, on July 7! Admission to the park is $35.00. For more information on the parks, visit their website. Be sure to RSVP as soon as possible! Remember, there will be no youth meeting at LCF that night.
When: Wednesday, July 7, 2010; 7am – 10:30pm
Where: Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari in Santa Claus, IN
Meet: At LCF. Leaving at 7am sharp.
Cost: $35 for admission, plus money for food
Bring: Money, bathing suit (MUST be modest), towel, sunscreen
Putt-Putt Night, June 18

On June 18, the youth will be enjoying a night of putt-putt golf and go-karts. The cost for the event is $15.00, which includes one round of putt-putt golf, one round on the go-karts, hot dog, chips, a drink, and ice cream. Additional go-kart rounds are $2.50 each.

Student Night: May 26, 2010
On May 26, we’ll be back to our normal meeting, but with one exception. To thank everybody for all their hard work in the community over the last three weeks, the ministry is going to provide the pizza for everybody. Don’t bring the normal $3, and everybody plan on coming out sharing a meal together and enjoying some fun together. The schedule will be back to normal:
6:00 to 7:00 Pizza
7:00 to 7:45 Groups
7:45 to 8:30 Worship
Youth Night May 12: Disaster Relief
 Join us this Wednesday night for flood disaster relief! We’ll be helping “turn ashes into beauty” (Isaiah 61) by helping clean up homes in the Antioch area.
When: May 12, 6:00-8:00pm
Where: Meet at the LCS high school parking lot
Bring: Gloves, N95 masks. Wear close-toed shoes.
Eat before you come. Drinks will be available.
Parents are welcome to come and help as well! This is a great opportunity to serve as a family.
