Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

| Thank you to ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, The Nashville Build, LP Building Products, Hardaway Construction, and all the other partners, businesses, and volunteers who worked to build the new Lighthouse Christian Preschool building! We are so grateful for your extraordinary and miraculous generosity! This has been, and will continue to be, an absolutely tremendous blessing– not only to us, but more importantly to the community, as we all recover from the damage of the May floods. Words cannot describe this overwhelmingly generous blessing, and we are so grateful!
On September 10, 2010, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition announced that they had chosen Lighthouse Christian School for a makeover! Along with business partners in the community, such as LP Building Products and Hardaway Construction Corp., and hundreds of volunteers, they built a brand new 6,500 square-foot preschool building to replace our preschool building, which was destroyed in the floods on May 1 and 2. We are overwhelmed with this incredible blessing and answer to prayer!

Behind-the-Scenes Special
Phase Two
Our beautiful new facility built by Extreme Makeover will house our K4 students. We have already begun planning Phase Two! We plan to build a 4,400 square-foot building behind the K4 building, which will house the K2 and K3 students. Currently, we have those students in Antioch First Baptist Church’s facilities, but we are required by safety regulations to move out of those facilities by the end of May 2011. We are working with the builders who helped us in Phase One and we’re hoping to have Phase Two completed by May, but that would require more funds. If we have the funds needed, we hope to begin construction in January 2011.
