Local Missions Partnerships

At LCF, we value reaching out and spreading the gospel in our community.  In addition to encouraging every member to reach out to the people who live around them, we are partnering with a few organizations to effectively spread the gospel in the Antioch area.  It is our goal that each life group at LCF serves with one of these organizations on a regular basis.

Grace Pregnancy Resource Center  / Visit website

Grace Pregnancy Resource Center empowers young women to make life affirming choices and hopes to help protect the sanctity of human life in Nashville.  Since opening in 2006, they have helped save 160 babies from abortion!  While they rejoice for these spared lives, they are committed to becoming even more effective.  They provide abortion consultations, adoption referrals, pregnancy tests, prenatal and parenting classes, post-abortion support, sexual integrity training, agency referrals, and material assistance.  They are planning to begin offering ultrasounds in the summer of 2010.  All their services are free and confidential.

Homeless Education Resources and Organization (HERO) / Visit website

The HERO program works within the Metro School System to assist families transitioning into or out of homelessness. Their goal is to provide children and families with the resources and services that they need to help children be successful in school.  They work with families in transition to ensure that children are enrolled in school, and they want all families to be aware of their educational rights under the McKinney-Vento Act.  In addition to helping with school enrollment and educational rights issues, they can offer assistance with clothing, school issues, housing and community resource information, obtaining important records, parent and community education, referrals for health services, school supplies, summer camp program referrals, school-related transportation, and tutoring service referrals.

ThriftSmart  / Visit website

ThriftSmart exists to provide value to customers, opportunity for employees, and benefit charities by operating the best thrift stores in the world and promoting thrifty living– all for God’s glory.  ThriftSmart provides jobs in the community, merchandise at low prices, and 100% of their profits support these organizations:  New Hope Academy, Mercy Children’s Clinic, African Leadership, and The Belize Project.  Also, for every 10 pounds of donated items from LCF members, ThriftSmart will give us $1 in ThriftSmart gift cards to give to those in need.  (To help us earn these gift cards, be sure to donate in the bin at the church building, or tell the store employees which church you are supporting when donating at the store.)

Ultimate Goal Ministries (Synergy Soccer League) / Visit website

Synergy Soccer is a sports-based youth development program organized and administrated by Ultimate Goal Ministries (UGM). Their mission is to ‘offer players hope and opportunity that transforms and empowers their lives’. Through the recreational league, they hope to bring the community together with the goal of offering opportunities for spiritual and youth development. They aim to accomplish this through the relationships built between coaches and players and by presenting weekly ‘life lessons’. On a much larger scope, Synergy Soccer’s goal is to use the league as a ‘feeder’ system to the higher level club soccer programming they offer for which there is considerable mentoring/youth development components. Synergy Soccer currently uses the fields at LCF for practices and games.
