Check-In Process
The Children’s Ministry at LCF takes very seriously the responsibility that we have before the Lord to both shepherd and protect the children we serve. Therefore we will have implemented the following registration and check-in process to better ensure the protection of your children.
Child Registration
At their first visit, every family must register their children with the children’s ministry so that we can create class rolls and obtain important information, such as parent information, allergy information, and other special instructions. The registration process is very simple. There is a child’s registration form at the children’s check-in station. If it is your first time to use the children’s ministry, please be sure to fill one of these out and sign the medical release at the bottom of the form. This registration process only needs to be completed once, but should be updated whenever the information on the registration form changes.
Check-in Process
When parents first arrive each Sunday morning, they will need to go to the children’s check-in station to take the following steps:
First, parents must fill out the appropriate 2-part or 3-part tag for their child. If they are in the nursery section (newborn to two-years-old) you will use the 3-part tag. All other ages will use the 2 part tag. Parents should then peel the name tag off, and place it on their child. Parents will keep the small numbered tag. If the child is in the nursery section, the large additional tag will be placed on the child’s bag.
Second, parents should find the appropriate class roll for their child, and initial by their name that they are being checked in. Parents should write the number from their tag in the appropriate space provided. At 10:30 am the rolls will be transferred to the classrooms. When parents pick up their children after the service. they will show the tag to the workers in their child’s class and initial next to their name on the roll signifying that their children have been picked up. If the parents would like to allow specific family members to pick up their child, they should notify the children’s ministry in advance and be sure to give those family members the tag needed to pick up the child.
If it is your child’s first time in the children’s ministry and you have questions about any of the above procedures, please feel free to ask one of the children’s ministry workers or ministry team leaders.
